The lightweight carbon body means weight is concentrated at the front and back of the head, which makes for a stable, consistent design. This translates into great performance and the best acoustics we’ve ever heard from a carbon driver.
With both Callaway carbon drivers carrying shots over 295 yards, we reckon the company has been working to find extra power for everyday golfers.
The Callaway Fusion FT-5 Driver is a traditionally-shaped titanium and carbon composite driver, with 50g of discretionary weight and Opti-Fit weighting system.
Features and Benefits of the Callaway FT-5 Draw driver include a Titanium and carbon composite combine to save 50 grams of discretionary weight that is repositioned to help optimise your drives. A Larger, high velocity face enable you to choose a powerful combination of accuracy and distance to get the best out of your game. 25-gram weight lowers the centre of gravity for optimal trajectory while Fusion technology provides stability on off-centre hits. The 460cc head has been manufactured with a longer, wider and hotter face for more confidence at address.

Proprietary Fusion technology creates an unprecedented 50 grams of discretionary weight which is strategically positioned for a high Moment of Inertia and precise lateral location of the center of gravity. This provides exceptional stability on off-center hits, while enabling ball flight customization for optimal individual performance. The 25-gram weight located at the rear of the driver lowers the CG for optimal trajectory. Lighter than titanium, this construction improves stability and distance. Modified version of properietary VFT Technology in which face thicknesses are designed specifically to maximise performance under the new USGA characteristic time test, resulting in a larger, more spin robust face for increased ball speed on shots hit all over the face. Unbelievably Good
For anyone out there who has always had trouble with he driver this is a godsend. I was never able to hit a driver at all but tried one out at my golf club and duffed only 1 of about 50 balls on my first go. I bought myself a second hand 11 degree ft-5 with draw bias and today drove one 360 yards I kid you not. Buy it thank me later.

FT5
I traded in my old Callaway X 460 for the T5 13 deg loft, draw bias. More consistent and slightly further - the old X was still a good driver. Even a hacker like me can crack the ball down the fairway with a draw.

Custom Fitting
I went to American Golf for a driver fitting and expected to walk out with a taylormade super quad of about 10.5 degs but after some time on the scope i ended up with an FT-5 Draw biased 13deg loft not the choice i would have made but it added 40 yards to my drives and the increase in accuracy has been brilliant. Thanks to the Guys at Biggleswade.

The best around...
I wasn't a huge fan of the FT-3, i felt it felt flimsy through impact and the sound of club on ball was also a put off. However, the new FT-5 is quite simply remarkable and you can find it for £229 at onlinegolf.co.uk so it is not going to break the bank as much as you may have thought. With 3 weighting options to suit the shot you desire and numerous top shafts available, the are specs for every player. And once you get the right shaft etc. and hit the club, you will realise it goes long - and i mean very long! Although maybe suited more to the better player simply for lack of forgiveness compared to other drivers on the market, this is a fantastic piece of technology and i would recommend anyone to demo one out.

Expensive but.....
Got this for under £250 at Direct Golf and has transformed my game with long long tee-shots that actually find the fairway, it's beena revelation!

Simply Superb
I attended the Callaway fitting centre at St Andrews with the intention of purchasing the FTi.Thanks to some expert advice I purchased the FT5 and it has been the best piece of advice I have ever had. So far, my distance has increased by 20 yards but far more importantly, I am hitting far more fairways.This club is a revelation and I cant recommend it highly enough!!

SIMPLY THE BEST
This Driver is not only good to look at , but performs equally as well. From the very 1st shot I hit with it, filled me with confidence. Very Solid and stable. Nice flight. Distance as good as any Ive hit in last 2 years of searching too. But more importantly, now consistently hitting even more fairways. Lots of loft and shaft options for everyone. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

Now Legal
Visited callaway demo at Downfield golf club as I was looking to change from "illegal" ERC driver. After trying various drivers, loft & shaft combinations, & excellent help & advice from demo assistant & club pro Kenny Hutton, found FT-5 driver with best combinations.Hitting ball on beautiful flight path & STRAIGHT!!!or slight draw, have purchased driver from Kenny & got a great deal. Have played first competion with new driver & handicap CUT!! Great club & highly recommended.
