We sang the praises of last year’s Cleveland HiBore XL, and we reckon the XL is a definite improvement. The super sexy gunmetal finish gives the head a classy look, and boy does it pack a punch.
Lots of weight low and deep in the head means shots seem to stay in the air for ages, and we reckon this helps to make the XL more forgiving than last year’s model. An excellent example of how modern technology can make the game more enjoyable.

HiBore XL
This club has changed my game totally, it is awesome.

Good for certain players
If you are one of the thousands of golfers who hit a slice then you should look closely at this driver. It has quite a closed face, 3 degrees in fact, which is perfect for those who lose the ball right. It also produces good distance and a good trajectory, however even with the stiff red shaft the ball flies very high. Similarly for decent players, i found it quite hard to manouvere the ball around. So i believe this is a club for the higher handicap or for those who hit the ball right. For others it may be considered a bit of a hook stick.

much better than square
went for a custom fitting for a square driver.tried them but was advised to try the cleveland.drives are going straight & for £199.try this club before buying anything else

What a ball flight!!
This club is fantastic. I had an illegal 540XD but this goes longer and with a fantastic boring flight. I haven't seen this club for over £199 so I think this is the bargain driver of the year not the G5. Well done Cleveland!!

this thing sends it miles, and straight too. seems to have given me an extra 15-25 yards on my old callaway 454- which is nice. if you like a nice soft feel then this isnt for you, it gives out an awesome crunch of the ball, if you want to hit te ball low and with a penetrating flight then opt for the tour red shaft- its the mutts nuts!

Awesome XL
After a fitting session at American Golf Disocunt the HiBore XL came out top for my swing stats - (I hadn't really considered fitting that important before, now I can't get over how the head and shaft impact on ball flight and run off so much). What a difference on the tee today - Consistent straight, penetrating shots + 30 yards - great feel and what a sound! More over, on looks alone I would have settled for the XL - it looks really awesome! A complete revalation, streets ahead of my old driver. Thank you Cleveland - I am converted!!!

Better than square
I bought this driver 1 month ago after testing it along with the Callaway FT-i. I hit the XL further and I'm hitting it pretty straight too for a change. And it makes a great noise. I'm chuffed.

If only I could putt
This driver has made a huge difference to my game. I am longer,straighter,with or without wind. Now if I could only putt, a single figure handicap would be on the cards.

Cleveland HiBore XL
What a wonderful weapon. Installed confidence straight away on first tee. I could not believe it. Slice gone and drove at least 50 yards further than my old Callaway. I have now bought the 3 wood and its the same. Getting at least 30 to 40 yards further with this. Awesome clubs for the hign handicapper.

I love this driver
What an awesome piece of equipment. Words cannot do justice to the feeling I got on using it off the tee for the first time yesterday. Was consistently hitting 50 yards+ further and straighter without the slice I had with my old cheap driver that I now realise was holding me back. I was outhitting my playing partners by yards when usually they were outhiting me. I tried a few that the pro in the shop suggested and chose it based on the consistent sound and feel that I got even on off-centre shots and I glad I did. Highly recomended.

My first driver
I have always been a player who uses a 3 wood as whenever I had a go at other people drivers I always sliced. A few months ago I was talking to my club pro who let me have a practice with the hibore. Boy was I impressed but he advised me to wait for the hibore xl. Since buying the club I have never looked back. First of all I am easily put off when things aren't right but looking down at the club the 460cc head does not look overl large with the dip in the back of the head. Also I can't believe how light this club is. I can honestly say i am hitting more fairways than I was with my 3 wood and have gained approx 20 yards. I am so impressed I have ordered the 3 wood to match. I am a 16 handicapper and went fot the 10.5 degree loft with regular flex gold shaft. To round it off this driver has just helped me win my first competition in golf. RECOMMEND TO ANYONE!!!!

Awesome piece of equipment
Tried this driver today and within 10 minutes couldn't believe its performance. Every shot had loads of air but without losing distance. This driver made my Cally FT-3 9.5 Tour look pitiful hence it has taken its place in my bag. Honestly this was awesome !!!! PS Take some ear plugs, you won't have to shout four, people will hear it coming!!!!
