What we say...

The LD M model is for moderate ball speed golfers wanting a high launch with draw bias and comes in straight neck or offset designs. The LD F is for faster speed players and promotes a high launch with lower spin for optimum carry and roll. Both drivers are top quality clubs which are easy to hit and possess a stylish fast look behind the ball.

Pro Verdict: A definite improvement on last year’s model in looks and performance. Everything about it feels fast and powerful and results were encouraging. A great club for the average golfer wanting more carry.

Tester Comments: “Great to look at”… “Quality shaft and stylish design”… “Every shot was out of the sweet spot – different gravy!”.

The Cobra Speed LD Driver comes in two distinct options, for those swing swing fast and those whose is slower, called either fast or medium!

Now, I played a little when i was younger but never touched a driver and didnt take it further than the odd par 3 course. Decided to take up the beautiful game a couple of months ago so bought myself a cheap set of dunlop clubs in case I didn't continue ( I didnt want to spend a fortune if it was just a fad). I got on fine with the irons, but i have never been able to hit a driver at all and the driver of this set was no different. In fact the trials I had with it actually messed me up with all of my game. I decided to splash out on this club on the recommedation of my local pro (who told me to chuck the dunlop in the skip!). I went from not being able to hit a driver at all, and what i did hit was a nasty slice, to within 10 minutes cracking it 270 yards dead straight!!! Now I'm not saying that this driver has turned me into Bubba Watson, but its made me realise that a quality club makes such a difference. Its allowed me to swing much more naturally just by being perfectly balanced and suited to me.  And the best bit? Under £80! After I bought the club, the pro shop owner who sold the club to me said that apart from the colour there is not much between this and the latest Cobra. Best £80 I have ever spent!

When it comes to picking a new Big Gun for your bag, you cant do much wrong by picking the Cobra LD. Regulary hit mine over 250 yds and its the most forgiving i tried. Looks the business with its massive confindence inspiring head and makes a sweet sounding crack as you smash one long. Top notch at around £190.
