What we say...

You may have seen Sam Torrance on Sky, saying how good the Slazenger K1 Speed is, but we’re not so impressed.

Our club included a free rescue club and a dozen balls, which is a decent package. Break it down and its plain to see you actually get a £99 driver, £55 rescue club and £15 of balls.

If we judge the driver alongside other £99 clubs then yes, it has the capability to hit decent drives. But we reckon the components are average, making the whole package less attractive.

An aerodynamic crown and sole plate maximise swing speed and velocity, while the 'DKS' Double Kick Point graphite shaft have been designed to optimise control, flight and distance.

    Used a number of drivers before buying this driver. But it made a big difference to my game, my shots are 30 to 40yrds futher & straight every time. Its a good club.

    I took the driver to get a new sleeve put on, the repair at silver dale said bin this driver ,most useless.I do not know how i got coned by the Sam Torance advert for this driver, made a horrible noise on hit, did not hit more distance than my 10year old Mcgregor 3 Wood Naresh.

    the pro at my club says a double kick shaft is physically impossible anyway and the club is too loud and goes 30 yards less than my ben hogan c-s3 and thats a cheap driver anyway - still a waxa though. anyway - there goes Sam Torrance's reputation ----- weeeeeee!

    Couldnt get on with this driver. Increased my slice and couldnt get distance on it. Now got a Taylor Made r7 425. Much better.

    After investing in a set of the Slazenger Big Ezee clubs, I thought i would give the K1 Speed a go. First off, this club is loud! This doesnt bother me but occasionally you do get a few glares from other golfers. As far as performance goes, this club has not only cured my slice but also added another 20-30 yards in distance(I know this may sound a lot but i was using a dunlop before). Overall i cant rate this club enough. I managed to get the K1 Speed and the Hybrid club for only £99. Bargain!

    I could nt hit a driver until I got the K1 speed .Always hit a 3 wood off tee now I can use a driver I have gained 25 /30 yds distance .

    Bought the K1 to try to improve my game. It has! Since using the K1 I hit longer, straighter drives - it does what Sam says although my regular playing partners complain about the sound it makes.
