What we say...

We can’t separate the Callaway FT-3 and TaylorMade r7 460. In the end, choosing one over the other would come down more to brand loyalty than because one driver is significantly better than the other, so we decided to give both a Bronze award.

This is TaylorMade’s first stab at producing a 460cc head, although it doesn’t look unusually large behind the golf ball. A heavy 14-gram weight in the heel boosts confidence, as it helps to square the face at impact, ironing out most slices. And with so much weight positioned away from the face, you get a sense of the extra weight sliding under the golf ball at impact. With only two weight ports you are more limited than with the TaylorMade r7 425. Put this aside, though, and you have an impressive golf driver right up there with the best.

The TaylorMade r7 460's large head makes it forgiving and easy to launch, two movable weights give the player the power to move the centre of gravity.

my previous driver was very unforgiving, i would only hit the ball 240 at best. now i carry the ball 260 and it runs up to 20 yrds more. the wieghts let u tinker with youre flight, i now hit a slight draw. however not the most powerfull driver, and if max distance is what u require, get a nike. i shud get my handicap down 2 16 soon because of this club, good job taylormade!

This driver has been an absolute miracle. Even when your swinging badly with your irons and everything else in your bag, this club never fails to land me on the fairway with some distance.

it is simply the best none of this square rubbish if u r lookin 4 distance, power, control and shape and lots more well here is the club 4 u get out and get 1. with those square drivers u cannot shpe the ball thats why paul casey has decided not to use 1 i wonder if tiger wil the R7 460 u can get 4 around £200.00 and the sumo £248.50 save your £48.50 on sum thing else just buy the R7 460.
