The XTD Ti woods and hybrids use a titanium body attached to a high-density stainless steel sole to get the fastest ball speeds. The woods also have slots to let the clubface flex more effectively at impact, while the face borrows parent company TaylorMade’s “inverted cone technology” (thicker centre, thinner outer edges) to create more ball speed on off-centre hits.
