The Callaway Big Bertha fairway wood has the first forged Hyper Speed Face Cup. The adjustable hosel allows golfers to optimise launch, spin and shot shape for distance and accuracy.
Tested
As reviewed in our 2014 Fairway Woods Test – winner of our Silver Award: Quite a shallow face; so felt comfortable off tight lies, low tees and out of rough. Looks like it should go high, but you get a penetrating flight. Head shape has Callaway style. High-quality shaft felt quite lightweight at 65g for a good player. Perfect size and shape and easy to align thanks to crown and face colour difference. Flight was low and penetrating; might struggle stopping on par-5 greens, but a superb option off a low tee. Love how it sits. Out of the middle it comes off so hot. Felt stable with soft, hot feel.
