What we say...

The last 12 months in golf equipment has been all about one thing – funky new clubhead shapes – and the HiPPO HEX 2 certainly follows the radical trend. Our pro didn’t like the design, but he was quite surprised by the performance – it’s a really forgiving club. The hexagonal shape allows weight to be moved to the corners of the club, to help stabilise it and reduce the effect of sidespin for straighter hits. It also adds power behind the ball. The HEX 2 wasn’t the best club on test, but it also wasn’t the worst, and at this great price it’s not a bad product.

This club IS forgiving and DOES hit the ball straight as promised. I liked the slightly shallower head on it, making things easier off the deck, but this didn't make things tricky off the tee however. It makes a nice "ping" sound and it looks appealing at address. The one downside is the shaft, it is a lot softer than other shafts so i recommend getting the next level of stiffness, i.e. for a normal regular, get stiff and it will be about right.
