What we say...

Tech:

The HTX faces have been heat treated to liven up their bounce back and flex capabilities to increase ball speeds for greater carry distance. A “Torsion Bar” in the back maximises MOI and stability through impact to direct energy into the back of the ball.

Our verdict:

Its been said a million times that you only get what you pay for, which supposedly implies lower quality products cost less. But we’ve got to differ with the HTX as we certainly didn’t feel we got a lesser product when compared to the more expensive alternatives on test. The HTX was only out-done by a stronger lofted iron for fastest ball speed in the category so its got to be said the HTX’s head is very stable and just as capable as its more expensive cousins at pumping shots out there with the best of them.

Bottom line:

There’s not huge amounts of obvious tech like some of the more expensive models but the HTX can hold its own. We couldn’t all quite agree we loved the head shape but that’s personal, we did like the solid performance and obvious cost saving.
