What we say...

The MT OS irons are MacGregor’s longest and most forgiving irons, and feature a deep undercut cavity and the lowest, deepest centre of gravity in the new MT line. Our testers loved the attractive design and classic styling, and the oversized head produced impressively powerful, solid-feeling and sounding shots. In fact, the MT OS was our longest iron on test, and the heavier head gave a feeling of real power and confidence at address. It’s great to see MacGregor back with a bang, and these irons are a terrific choice at a very keen price for mid and high handicappers.

2010 review:

Colin raved about the look of these irons – he commented that they were sleek and stylish and that the colour combination really worked. He also thought that when it came to feel and forgiveness, they nearly matched the quality of the aesthetics too. Alex also enjoyed using them, but thought there were easier to hit clubs in this category, while Craig said they were just a classic, old school design. Like the Diablo Edge irons, the MacGregor beasts were incredibly powerful
and scored a full house in the distance department. A good comeback from the company which is now part of the
GolfSmith stable.

The MacGregor MT OS Irons offer extra power in its design for all golfers looking for greater ball speed and accuracy.

The 17-4 stainless steel body with Cup Face 360° technology means there are no welds anywhere on the face, so the entire face is the sweet spot. Therefore even off-centre or miss-hits will send your ball on target. The MT-OS irons have a consistently thin Cup Face for maximum rebound effect at slower swing speeds.

The deep undercut channel for optimal weighting combined with a wider sole and slightly thicker top line, maximises the depth of the centre of gravity while minimising the CG height to launch the ball further. This club is specifically designed to inspire confidence no matter what your skill level.

The MT OS irons come fitted as standard with market leading Fujikura graphite shafts that come in three flex options A, R and S, and have  special Lamkin MacGregor Crossline Tour grips fitted that can be customised to fit.

The MacGregor MT OS Irons won a silver award in this years irons test in Today's Golfer, issue 270.
