The Mizuno JPX850 irons have faces that flex past the competition limits placed by the USGSA and R&A on drivers. The breakthrough in ball speed and distance is achieved through increasing the flexible portion of the clubface. A reinforced frame around the clubface makes it play effectively larger, without increasing its size. Equally crucial is that the framework ensures ball speeds are consistently high across the entire clubface and that high spring like effect is not created at the expense of feel or control.
The iron is harmonically tuned via a short top frame edge that controls vibration and also features a Dual Relief Zone Sole, where the back edge is cut away so it effectively plays narrower. The set flows in reverse of traditional sets in that the long irons feature longer blade length than pitching wedge.

Love this consistent feel with good distance. They look superb front and back, the feel is enough to make you want to hit another ball. Effortless.
Offers the highest flight of the category, loud but pleasing sound on contact, seemed easy to hit straight, lovely look at address combined with decent feel.
