What we say...

The MX-1000 iron features Mizuno’s Hot Metal technology – a thin, hot face is plasma-welded to a stainless steel body to help give that explosive distance, and the hollow design of the clubhead allows the engineers to move weight to the edge of the club to increase MOI (resistance to twisting). Alex was a massive fan of the look, and he hammered his 6-irons to an impressive dispersion of 11.7 yards. He also commented that the look of the club would even suit a slightly lower handicapper than the MX-1000s were aimed at. Craig felt these were slightly harder to hit than some in this category, but
he loved the powerful ball flight. In fact, his 6-iron average distance was a whopping 183 yards – his second longest on test. Colin thought the irons looked inviting at address and couldn’t fault the forgiveness. Mizuno’s reputation means it’s no surprise the MX- 1000s found favour.

Incorporates Mizuno's Hot Metal concept into an iron design. The MX-1000 is for golfers looking for an extreme combination of distance and forgiveness.

Astonishing distances that push the boundaries of the R&A and USGA’s performance limitations are achieved by plasma welding a thin, hot, ES230 maraging steel face to a 431 stainless steel body – a technique perfected in Mizuno’s MP Fli-Hi utility iron.

The Hot Metal face is teamed with a hollow construction and internal weighting -encouraging strikes from a wide area of the face to hold their line with minimal distance loss. The hollow construction also allows weight to be engineered deep within the head for a naturally high trajectory – enabling the use of stronger lofts for even greater distance.

Aggressively bevelled lead and trailing edges effectively narrow the MX-1000’s substantial soleplate, for clean turf interaction and use from a variety of lies.

The Mizuno MX-1000 Irons won a gold award in this years irons test in Today's Golfer, issue 270. It is available in graphite at £125 per club or steel at £105.
