Look at the stats and the TaylorMade r7 CGBs put in an impressive performance, carrying shots further than any competitor. But don’t be fooled: they have stronger lofts, so naturally should go further.
As an all-out game-improvement set they are a delight, and plenty of work has gone into their design to maximise performance. Their titanium faces catapult shots quickly off the clubface just like a modern driver, and they are as forgiving as anything we’ve tested. But all this technology costs.
Our only niggle was the large heads and rounded soles – they weren’t quite as slick in the short game. But if you can forget the price, these are difficult to beat for distance and accuracy.
Two-piece construction, where the clubface is created separately from the clubhead, allowing an extremely thin stainless stell clubface.

Not going BACK!!!
I had a poor first round with these, because they were so different to my old ones. The ball flight and spin is incredible. They just seem to swing more qickly, and they have increased my confidece and ball striking, I even now go for shots I would never have gone for without these, they give you a great feeling of massive confidence. They sound slightly like a fairway wood when you hit them, one little draw back for some people, but I personally quite like the sound. The great thing is they still feel like a one piece Iron, they have that great feeling when you hit it well. I would not say they really increase distance, but if you are failing to get height and stop irons on the green, then believe me, these are the right irons to get. Good luck with your game for the coming year!

Steel over Graphite
I changed from Graphite rac LT's to these clubs in steel and already I have noticed a more accurate swing and consistant striking of the ball. It is obvious why all the pro's use steel shafts more reliable for a fast swinger. these should do me for a few years :)

Bought these due to always having trouble getting the ball to fly on a high ball flight,and what a change they have made.The only downside I have had is the loss of feel compared to the forged clubs i was using before,but on the positive side i now hit a club to two clubs shorter than i hit before(my mates can't beleve what i hit compared to them sometimes) As for the looks well the most be one of the best looking clubs on the market,they cost a lot which put me off but I managed to pick up a set a couple of days old for under £450 (result).If you can pick them up at a good price then these are a great buy

Beautiful looks - good distance !
Everbody comments on how shiny my r7 CGB's look - they think I clean them before each round ( I'm not that sad, honest !. I bought them for their looks ( ok, so I'm shallow !), but will keep them because of their performaance. Excellent distance, great forgiveness. All I need is a driver to love as much ?
