What we say...

The Tour Preferred Cavity Back iron is designed to deliver a higher MOI thanks to a two-piece design where a forged face is melded onto a cast body to incorporate a similar feel to a purely forged iron with the forgiveness of a deep cavity back. A precision weight port in the back also allows custom-fitters to more accurately position the CG through the set for consistent launch angles. TaylorMade’s inverted cone technology promotes faster ball speeds across more of the face, even on off-centre strikes.

Taylormade Irons User Reviews

  • 5 out of 5 A step up

    By Graham Shipman

As an 18 handicapper about a year ago I was looking for an iron that would give me the feel I wanted to take control of my shots a little more. These irons look the business and deliver the quality feel off the face to allow you to take the next step in becoming a good golfer. I went with the steel shafts, which are excellent, and there are some very very good deals about for these at present. I would recommend these to anyone looking for more control and feel.

If you’re looking for a club, that’s pretty easy to hit yet gives you the look of a more traditional iron then these are definitely worth a try, they have a lovely feel off the face on impact, with little reduction in distance from off centre hits, they also look great in your bag! Compared to the newer R11 irons they are a much nicer club to use, can’t wait to get back out on the course with them
