What we say...
A new, mid-sized iron from Wilson Staff, aimed at club players wanting a good looking but playable game improvement iron. Its larger golf head inspires confidence at address but would ideally be suited to someone hitting a reasonable golf ball.
A narrow sole and evenly distributed weight means golf balls are hit lower than normal as the Ci6s proved to be one of the most powerful irons we tested. Good value, too.
Targeted at the mid-handicapper. The Wilson Staff Ci6 looks and feels like a precision player's instrument. Incorporates forgiving features.

Made to measure
Was determined to replace my pingI3s with a made to measure set. Mizuno in Cumbernauld were great, however I really wanted to support the local assembly plant for Wilson in Irvine. Tried the DI7 and hated it, hoewver made an appointment to try other irons at their facility. The service in Irvine was excellent. The CI6 was a revelation after the DI7, and comparisons to my existing pings were good. Longer and straighter, with superb feel. Only a slight change to the lie angle, and thicker grips were required, but it is amazing how crucial getting the perfect shaft is. On course these clubs have proven to be the best buy I have ever made. For my £350 I have 4 through SW, with Wilson kindly throwing in a TW7 lob wedge as a welcome extra. As I said earlier, the feel is tremendous. The face feels relatively soft like a forged club, but I am having to adjust for the extra distance I am getting, despite my pings being long hitters also. My only reservation is that you really should invest in club covers as the clubs will mark.

Love my ci6
I have recently purchased these after playing with Mizuno mx17's. I am extremely happy with the results. I am hitting longer, straighter iron shots and my short game has improved 100%. An extremely forgiving club. I play off 15 and would recommend these to any mid handicapper.
