What we say...

The Tech:

A wide bodied blade designed with direct input from Matt Kuchar. Bettinardi says FIT Face Technology eliminates the need for a face insert and creates the softest feeling milled putter he makes. Milled from a single block of steel for superb feel.

Our verdict:

Bettinardi’s a milling genius and his brand is very much a “boutique” putter manufacturer. Their designs are proudly milled in the USA and its thanks to this labour intensive process that means their price is very much premium. If you’re after a flatstick to treasure for years to come you certainly won’t go wrong with the #1. Its wide body improves MOI performance over narrower blades. And by using a double bend shaft that’s often found in mallet putters with a face balanced design that’s well suited to straight back and through strokes we reckon Bettinardi’s opened up blade style putters to a wider audience.

Bottom line:

An absolutely cracking putter, it’s a blend of blade and mallet in the same head. We loved how the design seems to aid correct alignment with hands ahead of the ball. See past the wide body and the feel and roll are superb.
