Wilson Staff Infinite South Side Putter Review: You should know
It’s the putter used by Padraig Harrington. The grip weighs in at 104g, which moves the putters balance point closer to the hands, creating a higher moment of inertia and more stable putting stroke. The club face is double CNC milled which Wilson say imparts a consistent roll and distance control.
Wilson Staff Infinite South Side Putter Review: We say
At a time when prices in golf have sky rocketed, how the South Side weighs in for less than £100 looks like decent value. We were fans of Wilson’s Infinite models last year and thanks to an overhaul over winter which we reckon has simplified their look and made them even more appealing, they’ll be a big hit this year too.
We loved how the three white lines on the back of the head highlight alignment and path while a single stripe on the top edge is really for good for helping square the blade up to a target. As far as fancy, fluffy tech goes the South Side’s been paired back to just a CNC milled face which is just about all you need if you’re looking for a simple, straight forward and dependable mallet.
Wilson Staff Infinite South Side Putter Review: Verdict
A brilliantly simple introduction to centre shaft putters and counter balancing, for what is very sensible money in 2018. Padraig Harrington can use any putter he chooses on tour but he swears by the South Side (he’s won twice with it too), which speaks volumes about how nice a putter Wilson have created for less than £100.
