What we say...

The Nike SasQuatch Sumo2 rescue club offers extreme perimeter weighting for maximum MOI and it was one of the straightest and most forgiving tested. Just a little let down by its bulky looks and control through rough.

2009 Review

Chris, Jon and David all loved the look of the Nike SasQuatch Sumo2 rescue club but traditionalist Roger wasn’t as keen on the silver border across the back. Roger didn’t find it as forgiving as some of the others and struggled from the rough but Chris, Jon and David loved all aspects of its performance, indicating this may be one for the mid-to-low handicapper. Distance stats were impressive and Chris also enjoyed the shape of the shots he achieved with the Nike SasQuatch Sumo2 rescue club. He also said it was the perfect size for a hybrid – not too big but not too small either.

  • 5 out of 5 Nike SasQuatch Sumo 2 Hybrid

    By tjshawsey

It has become common at this moment in time to replace those hard to hit irons with supposedly forgiving hybrids. I must admit I was sceptical of this idea, I could not understand what a head bigger than an a irons would do in terms of striking the ball easily off the fairway. Surely this would make it even harder? How wrong could I be. The Nike SQ Sumo 2 hybrid is a squared version of the more traditional shaped hybrid. It promotes a higher ball flight, but the SUMO technology fitted means you get much more MOI, equating to longer and more importantly straighter shots. I have found the hybrid to be pleasing to the eye, yet i'm sure the ball has a more fearful view of it! Where it really excels though is in shot shaping. Most hybrids are just built to make you hit the ball straighter, but as your handicap plummets, you will require the ability to manipulate the ball in the direction of your choosing. Nike have produced a club that in the right hands can do exactly that. It's quite remarkable what you can do with it. Overall, if your looking for a hybrid that will help you get your handicap tumbling, or in turn improve your better player skills, the Nike SQ SUMO 2 hybrids have it all.
