The Target Control is a blast from the past. It reminds me of the original ‘controller’ irons that became popular a few years ago. Sadly, I think more refined clubs now proliferate the market. The problem I see with this club is competition. It struggles to keep up with the likes of the Ram for playability or the Benross for distance, so what is its unique selling point? You could argue the price is attractive, but the Ram is still cheaper.
Verdict: Perhaps the Target Control might find favour as a tee-shot alternative to a 3-wood?
