What we say...

Today’s Golfer Hybrid Test 2011

Tested: July 2011
Testing panel:
Chris Ryan (Belfry Pro)
Leon Iacono (HCP 4)
David Connor (HCP 10)
Ben Miles (HCP 17)

This was a good performer for distance, being among the longest on test for Dave and Leon but both Dave and Ben struggled to control the Superfast, recording pretty high dispersion stats. Dave said it looked to him more like a small fairway wood and Chris agreed, though he said the shallow face would prevent him using it off the tee.

He said it was a confi dence-inspiring club and also commented on the weight, which he said was much lighter than others on test.

Distance: 4.1
Dispersion: 3.4
Looks: 3.5
Feel: 3.6
Forgiveness: 3.4
Fairway: 3.5
Tee: 3.1
Rough: 3.1

The new Burner SuperFast 2.0 is hot off the production line at TaylorMade Towers and it features the ground-breaking new white crown, which helps to make lining up correctly considerably simpler because white creates a better contrast with the green turf than a black-headed club does. The new Burner is also extremely light and features a top shaft – these two things combine to offer sensational distance and as you’d expect from a club in the Burner range it’s very forgiving too.
