First Hit Test – Chris Jones (12 hcap): “Looks great at address and the high levels of forgiveness on off-centre hits is immediately noticeable. Good shaft fitting saw my carry increase 11 yards.” Adjustable, stylish and performs well – and not just for better players. You need to be committed to spend £200 on a hybrid.
As reviewed in our 2013 Hybrids Test: For James, this was an extremely well balanced club. The high-end shaft which comes as standard is noticeable, making the club feel really stable through impact and on off-centre hits. He also liked the pear shape of the head at address of his more compact HD model. This is a traditional-looking hybrid that is easy to flight.
Matt felt the featureless design on the crown was a bit dull, but liked the shape. He found that it went great out of the middle but struggled to maintain significant distance on off-centre hits with the ball coming off the face a little hard. The neutral look appealed to Antony, who liked the simple appearance and lack of confusing aiming aids. He also likes to fiddle with adjustability so the SureFit technology was a real plus. He preferred this head shape to the previous 910.
