What we say...

 Tech:

A beautifully shaped head is combined with Razor grooves and versatile bounce angles to allow you to confidently attack shots from any lie. A CNC Milled face ensures maximum spin while a gunmetal finish eliminates glare and looks great.

Our verdict:

We’re not sure how the guys at MD Golf do it but once again they’ve produced a wedge that spins with the best of them. Our testers found the milled face and wide aggressive grooves chewed the cover from the test balls, which should be a consideration if you’re planning on gaming these with premium golf balls. If we’re honest we didn’t love the head shape as its quite square and boxy but we did find the Rifle shaft flighted shots low with plenty of zip. The dark finish will wear over time but we really liked how it looks both in the bag and behind the ball at address.

MD SuperStrong Wedge

Bottom line:

A wedge at the lower end of the price scale that has the capability to perform alongside the very best. There’s not tons of grind and finish options but if your game’s suited to this standard model you could well bag yourself a bargain.
