Ram FX9 Gun Metal Wedge Review

Ram has a good pedigree for producing wedges – Tom Watson used them for years – and the new Ram FX9 Gunmetal wedge is similar in shape to some of the old wedges. It has a thin Winn grip, which feeds loads of feel to the hands, but we were split as to whether its slippery feel would boost confidence for those struggling with their short game.

The heavy swingweight left our pro struggling to control shots, but would help most players to escape sand. With good alternatives on the market it’s difficult to recommend the Ram FX9 Gunmetal, but it is competent at doing its job.
