What we say...

Technology: Puma’s Monolite golf shoe is desgined to be worn on and off the course. It weighs in at only 9.5 ounces, but it has a waterproof upper and a grippy rubber sole. The upper is made with full-grain leather while ‘Everfoam’ is positioned throughout, which features slow recovery memory foam to adjust to the contours of your foot. Nubs on the outsole are arranged for directional control. Grooves on the perimeter aid flexibility.

Tested
As reviewed in our 2014 Shoes Test:
Very trainer-like, so will probably appeal to the younger market. They’re much lighter than they look, considering the thick, cushioned sole. The upper is very soft, which adds to the comfort. Thick sole, in the heel especially, but you get great comfort. There’s nothing eye-catching about the shape, and perhaps wasn’t as grippy as some, but there was more than enough on offer for summer.

We took a fourball of TG readers at Forest of Arden to test the shoes – watch the video (above) to find out their reviews.

Picked up some Monolites after being so impressed from Puma Biofusion shoes, and was immediately impressed with these too. Originally wanted the Blue ones, but found those are a limited edition and are only available from one online store, and I couldn't get them. Ended up with some subtle brown ones (with Rickie orange sole) as I didn't have brown shoes ;) Wore them for a whole weekend, two rounds and didn't take them off from one day to the next, they were so comfortable there was no reason to take them off. My feet felt just as fresh after the round as before the first one ! Great grip from these spikeless, even with quite a bit of dew on both days. I have no reservations about using them for most rounds now (maybe going full spikes when the raining is pouring though, just for the piece of mind). The colour ones are quite subtle in the whole, with the brighter colours only being used for small details on the uppers and for the sole. If you want a more subtle shoes then a lace colour option is provided to tone down the colour, and an alternative one for matching the colour of the sole is included in the box too. Biggest recommendation I can give these is that I went and bought the blue ones too !
