A more than worthy neighbour of legendary Open venue Royal St George’s, Prince’s is very much a stunning historic links in its own right. It certainly doesn’t fall short in the pedigree department, having famously hosted the Open Championship won by the legendary Gene Sarazen in the early 1930s.

Established in 1906, Princes Golf Clubs boasts 27 holes of quality championship links, offering three loops of nine (The Dunes, The Shore and The Himalayas), which has an impressive array of 97 revetted bunkers, including the now-famous Sarazen Bunker, rolling greens and fast, undulating fairways. The regular presence of stiff seaside breezes make for a challenging, yet exhilarating golf experience.

Furthermore it is a terrific place to stay and play following the opening of the impressive Lodge accommodation prior to the 2011 Open at St George’s. The Lodge, along with the award-winning The Brasserie restaurant, is proving a major asset and also features an upstairs room, a fascinating mini museum dedicated to the club’s glorious past.

Prince’s celebrated its centenary in 2006 and marked the occasion by staging a series of prestigious events including the Amateur Championship and the Ladies’ British Open Amateur Strokeplay Championship. Find out more here
