Beat the chill with the best warm golf tops money can buy

The cooler golfing days are here again... but you'll be happy to play whatever the temperature with one of these insulating golf tops.

Ping Norse Primaloft II – £150

Primaloft Silver insulation inside the Norse is thin, lightweight and water-resistant and it stays warm even if wet. Breathable, stretchy material ensures comfort on and off the course.

Peter Millar Legacy Wind Fleece – £195

A knitted outer face and fleece backer offer excellent warmth. The Legacy’s windproof, and thanks to a water-resistant finish it will keep out a shower. A classy garment.

Galvin Green Damie – £135

The Damie is part of Galvin’s Insula line-up, and from experience we know Insula is much warmer than a traditional wool sweater. We love the soft, light, stretchy and cosy material.

FootJoy Fleece Quilted – £120

Designed for the golf course, but the FJ jacket is classy and stylish off it too. Side pockets are really handy for keeping hands toasty, as not all insulated jackets have them.

adidas Frostguard Insulated – £129.95

A true hybrid jacket with fleece back knitted sleeves, duck down body insulation and a water- resistant finish to shed light rain. A stylish and high performance winter jacket.

Sunderland Ontario – £80

A brilliant hybrid jacket that won’t break the bank. The Ontario is ultra-lightweight, with a thermally insulated body which recirculates body heat. It also releases excess heat for improved breathability.

Under Armour Storm Daytona – £85

A brilliant example of how far thermal technology has come from a traditional golf sweater. The Daytona wicks body moisture but dries really quickly. Its spaced fleece construction traps body warmth without sacrificing breathability.

Puma PWRWarm Dassler – £129.99

Puma say the Dassler Primaloft Gold insulation gives the highest weight to warmth ratio in the industry. Dassler is also water resistant so you’ll stay warm and dry in a light shower.

Nike Hyperadapt Aeroloft Repel – £165

A traditional wool sweater just can’t o er the same level of warmth or water repellence as a modern thermal jacket like the Aeroloft. You’ll see them on the back of Rory McIlroy, Brooks Koepka and Jason Day.

Glenmuir Thurso – £75

Sleeveless gilets are a brilliant for keeping your body warm without any restriction when you swing. For us a gilet would be an essential piece of kit for any serious golfer’s winter kit.

Callaway Pieced Waffle – £54.99

Much more pullover than insulated jacket but we love how the waffle fleece (with air pockets) is bulk free and more than capable of trapping warm air to keep you cosy.
