Don’t know where to go for your winter 2-FORE!-1 golfing ‘fix?’ Then head west, south west to be precise, and you’ll be spoilt for choice.

There are some outstanding 2-FORE!-1 GOLF venues in this region and even better news is that many are playable throughout the year…apart from when several inches of snow and ice descend on them of course!

So provided they’re not covered in the white stuff there’s a distinct possibility you’ll be able to keep your game warm at these impressive all-year-rounders:

* West Cornwall GC, near St Ives, Cornwall – a classic links layout.

* Perranporth, Cornwall – a spectacular, quirky James Braid links.

* Ilfracombe, Devon – clifftop golf at its best.

* Stinchcombe Hill, Glos – a terrific hilltop course offering amazing views.

* Royal North Devon, Devon – the oldest links in the land (England that is).

* Oake Manor, nr Taunton, – a super modern (it opened in 1993) Somerset venue.
