Along with the opening hole, the 18th is undoubtedly the most important hole on a golf course.

Golf courses are usually, rightly or wrongly, judged on both the challenge and quality of their last hole. After all, signing off with a rather tame, lame finale wouldn’t be very clever would it?

Most golfers prefer to finish with a flourish and bow out with a bang rather than a whimper… even if the 18th might well have wrecked their scorecard!

2-FORE!-1 Golf just happens to boast some truly great finishing holes and the beauty of these of course is that with a 2-FORE!-1 Golf voucher you can experience them for half the normal price!

Here’s six of the best grand finales in 2-FORE!-1 Golf:

  • Where: Shrigley Hall, Cheshire. What: You need to be deadly accurate with your approach shot to a green guarded on the left by a pond.
  • Where: Lakes Course, Greetham Valley, Rutland. What: A short, sharp left dogleg where you need to take careful aim to find the green which sits behind a mini lake.
  • Where: Trevose G&CC, Cornwall. What: You’ll need to pull out all the stops to find the last green which sits beyond a road and is raised, falling away on all sides.
  • Where: St Thomas’s Priory, Staffs. What: This signature hole measures 412 yards and involves a 150 yards carry over three ponds created by Dominican monks in the 19th century.
  • Where: Hunting Course, Slaley Hall, Northumberland. Two top shots are required to find the green and you’ll be well chuffed to walk off with a par.
  • Where: The Manor House, Wilts. The wheels can fall off here with the green being protected front right by a pretty – but potentially destructive – water feature.
