The MCB Mauritius PGA Open will take place at Constance Belle Mare Plage from Dec 8-13 – the first tournament of the year for the European Senior Tour 2010.
The event has attracted valuable sponsorship from MCB (Mauritius Commercial Bank), American Express, Air Mauritius and White Sand Tours and the players will be battling it out for total prizemoney worth 230,000 Euros.
Constance Belle Mare Plage are thrilled to be hosting the event which should further enhance Mauritius as a golfing destination.
The European Senior Tour is now in its 18th season and continues to break new ground, with some of the game’s most iconic names, including Bernhard Langer, Sam Torrance, Nick Faldo, Sandy Lyle, Mark James and Ian Woosnam all continuing their illustrious careers into their 50s and beyond.
Now comprising a schedule of 16 tournaments in 11 destinations over ten months, the Senior Tour is renowned for its relaxed yet competitive environment.
The three day competition will be played on the “Legend” golf course from 11,12 and 13 December 2009, preceeded by various competitions for amateurs particularly on the “Links” layout, including the Pro-Am.
