All early rounds and semi-finals of the tournaments are played in the UK with the Finals being held in Spain.

*Event 1

10th Aymerich National Scramble
Closing date: May 6th, 2010

All you need to know: This is a pairs championship, played in matchplay Scramble format, open to all golf club members.

The two players can both be male, female or mixed. Early rounds are played on a home and away basis.

After four wins, one semi-final match is played and the winners all win a trip to the grand finals in Spain and our Champions Week, in accordance within the guidelines laid down by the R&A on Amateur Status.

Every match is played over two legs, one at HOME and one AWAY.

Entry fee will be £35 per pair. All finalists will be invited to be our guests at the Champions Week finals, a 7-day festival of golf playing various courses such as Finca Cortesin (venue for the Volvo World Matchplay) and Alcaidesa Links and staying at a 4-star hotel such as the AGH Golf & Spa Hotel near Estepona, Spain.

*Event 2

Finca Cortesin Masters (Pairs)
Closing date: May 6th, 2010

All you need to know:This is a pairs championship played in the form of a 4-ball better-ball event. Early rounds are played across the UK in matchplay format (3/4 difference) on a HOME or AWAY basis in regions.

The regional winners are invited to take part in the Regional Finals staged nationwide with the winners and runners-up win a trip to take part in Champions Week and the finals which will be played on some of the top golf courses on the Costa del Sol including Finca Cortesin. Handicap limits are 18 for men and 28 for ladies.

Entry fee will be £40 per pair. All finalists will be invited to be our guests at our Champions Week finals, a 7-day festival of golf playing various courses and staying at the 4-star AGH Golf & Spa Hotel near Estepona, Spain.

*Event 3

27th Sunday Express Team-of-4
Closing date: May 6th, 2010

All you need to know: The event first staged in 1984 is open to any team-of 4 players, as long as they all belong to a golf club.

The qualifying rounds are in regions in a mini league format with each team playing two games at HOME and two AWAY.

For each match, the team captain produces two pairs who will play a 4-ball better-ball match over 18 holes. 3/4 difference in handicaps will apply.

Teams may vary from round to round. Handicap limits are up to 18 for men and 28 for ladies. The top two teams in each group proceed to UK semi-finals staged nationwide. Twelve teams-of-four will win a trip to the Champions Week finals in Spain.

Entry fee will be a one-off £120 per team. All finalists will be invited to be guesta at Champions Week, a 7-day festival of golf.

*Event 4

20th Daily Express Matchplay
Closing date: May 6th, 2010

All you need to know: The UK Open Matchplay Championship, first staged in 1991, is an individual tournament with a separate men’s and women’s section. Golf club members only are eligible to enter.
Handicap limits are up to 18 for men and 28 for women. Early rounds are played in regions, matchplay format. First and last round matches will be played over two legs. 

Entry cost will be a one-off fee of £30.
