Having a ball in the snow

Not even snow can stop play at Suffolk course Ufford Park.

Ufford Park is certainly living up to its reputation as being a top year-round venue capable of beating virtually anything the elements can throw at it.

“We have been voted in the UK’s top winter courses for the last four years, due to our excellent natural drainage.

“Today we had different obstacles to overcome, namely snow rather than rain, but that didn’t stop chairman Colin Aldous and his golfing team taking part in a Texas Scramble event,” said the club’s golf manager Alan Knight.

Other brave participants included head pro Stuart Robertson and head greenkeeper Adrian Hollins.
