The Gleneagles Hotel in Perthshire has added another top class golfing talent to their existing team.

Alan Beattie has been appointed as a PGA Professional at the PGA National Academy, Scotland, based at Gleneagles. With his wealth of experience within the golf industry, Alan was a natural choice to join the talented team.

He began his career as a club professional before moving into full time coaching. He then gained experience within a golf operations and retail role before joining Worldwide Sporting Publications in a sales and marketing position.

His wealth of experience combined with his commercial expertise makes him an extremely valuable and well-rounded addition to the team.

Alan’s main duties at Gleneagles will include coaching hotel residents, members and corporate guests. He will provide the full range of Academy services including tournament administration, custom-fitting and golf clinics.

Russell Smith, Gleneagles’ Head Professional commented: “We’re delighted to have Alan on board. His experience and friendly approach will be an excellent asset to the team.’’

Gleneagles is the shining star of 2-FORE!-1 Golf with all its three superb 18 hole courses (PGA Centenary, King’s & Queen’s) offering half-price golf to 2-FORE!-1 voucher holders.

The King’s course recently finished on top of the pile in the latest 2-FORE!-1 Top 100 listing with the PGA Centenary (5th) and Queen’s (18th) also well placed.
