Here are six more brilliant 2-FORE!-1 venues which not only provide great golf at half -price (with a 2-FORE!-1 voucher) but are almost certain (snow permitting!) to be playable and in good nick at this time of year.
* Seaton Carew, Co. Durham – classic traditional Dr Alister Mackenzie links on the north east coast.
*Mannings Heath (Kingfisher course), West Sussex – not as classy as the mighty neighbouring Waterfall layout but still well worth trying out.
*Forest of Arden (Arden course) – top quality parkland which has hosted numerous European Tour tournaments.
*Crowborough Beacon, Sussex – excellent, mature heathland course close to the highest point in Sussex.
*Temple Newsam, West Yorks – the largest municipal golfing venue for 100 miles and the home of two 18-hole courses (Lord Irwin & Lady Dorothy).
*Troon Fullarton, Ayrshire, Scotland – gently undulating links close to mighty Royal Troon but this testing par-64 is much more golfer-friendly…and cheaper!
