Winter open events at top north east venue

A series of winter open events are scheduled to take place on the Filly Close at top north-east venue Close House near Newcastle.
The events are open to both members and non-members and the dates are as follows:
Thursday Dec 15th; Thurs Jan 19th; Thurs Feb 16th; Thurs March 15th. All have 10am shotgun starts.
The excellent Filly course provides stunning views over the River Tyne and surrounding countryside and underwent a major refurbishment in 2006.
The combination of undulating USGA-spec greens and extensive drainage work provide top putting surfaces and playing conditions all-year round.
Four-ball team places are available for £80 per team which includes tea/coffee and bacon roll on arrival while the competitions will be played with the best two scors counting on each hole in a Stableford format (three quarters handicap).
