They include the superb clifftop track of The Glen on the outskirts of North Berwick as well as the classy heathland layout of Whitekirk, also close to North Berwick.
There’s also the splendid mature parkland of Haddington to experience along with the magical, historical nine-hole Musselburgh Links Old Course, home of the world’s oldest course.
Also in the Lothians and well worth paying a visit are Liberton, near Edinburgh, and the 120-years-old municipal of West Linton.
