Magic awards night for Marriott

Marriott Golf Hotels and Resorts were rewarded at the inaugural 59Club Awards, winning a total of four accolades for its prominent golf resorts.
A total of 17 awards were presented on the evening, with Marriott golf venues positioning first or second in eight of the categories.
The group’s success at the awards is another clear indication of the continued excellence provided by Marriott Golf Hotels and Resorts.
The 59Club works privately with leading golf groups, like Marriott, and measures overall standards of customer service, and has been granted Official PGA Supplier Status.
The awards scheme honours the best venues over a range of categories.
Breadsall Priory, on the outskirts of Derby, took home two awards, winning the Golf Operations Team of The Year, and was awarded the prestigious 4* Golf Service Venue.
Forest of Arden Hotel and Country Club, set in the heart of the Midlands, enjoyed a fruitful evening, winning the Best Conditioned and Presented Golf Course, as well as Best Golf Retail Service Experience.
The European Tour venue also finished second in the Best Greens category, Best Food and Beverage Experience and Most Memorable Golf Hole for the 18th on the Arden, capping off an impressive night.
Marriott’s Meon Valley, Southampton, finished a commendable second in the Tastiest Golf Food Award.
