Lincolnshire is a relatively small county but it’s definitely big 2-FORE!-1 country with over 20 venues offering 2-FORE!-1 and half-price green fees. Here are the pick of the crop…
*Forest Pines, Brigg – Outstanding stay and play venue and the pride of the Q Hotels group offering 27 holes, three loops of nine (Forest, Pines and Beeches), carved out of an ancient forest, and they’re all pretty special.
It’s supported by a four star hotel with 188 rooms, three restaurants with the superb leisure and spa amenities including indoor pool, fitness centre and sauna.
*De Vere Belton Woods, Grantham – it’s just off the busy A1 and you’ll find two contrasting 18-hole layouts plus a luxury De Vere hotel.
*North Shore, Skegness – home of an impressive James Braid parkland/links layout and on-site hotel.
*Belton Park GC – parkland golf at its best in the grounds of Belton House, the 27 holes are both a test of golf and a pleasant walk. There are plenty of trees to keep you thinking, plenty of hazards to punish errant shots and the greens are fast and true.
*Sutton Bridge GC – quirky, fun and challenging nine-holer.
*Kenwick Park GC – wonderful parkland track, always in tip-top condition. A must play.
