Another top half-dozen 2-FORE!-1 courses you can tackle for half-price - with a 2-FORE!-1 voucher of course.

*Bingley St Ives, West Yorks - A terrific course with a bit everything - parkland, woodland and moorland golf - and bags of pedigree. The latter is probably the pick of the sections in the summer when offering stunning views along the Aire Valley, Bronte moorlands and Rombolds Moor.

*Whitekirk, East Lothian, Scotland - An outstanding inland alternative to the plethora of world-class links layouts along the breathtaking East Lothian coastline. It’s a completely different ball game in more ways than one from the mighty Muirfield and the area’s other wondrous links courses – it won’t cost you an arm and a leg to tackle Whitekirk which arguably provides the best value golf in this neck of the woods.

*The Warwickshire, Warwicks - Run and owned by the Club Company, the venue provides excellent all-round facilities and no wonder it is such a big hit among visiting societies. Both the Kings and Dukes courses are fit for golfing royalty and indeed have set the scene for several prestigious tournaments down the years including European Senior Tour and Midlands PGA Final events. But it’s the latter which, for us, is the pick of the two.

*Crowborough Beacon, East Sussex - This excellent, mature heathland course is close to the highest point in Sussex and, being nearly 800ft above sea level, you’re treated to spectacular South Downs vistas.

*The Players Club, Glos - The bold, brash Bristol layout is the ultimate in golfing challenges – not only is it ultra-long but its strewn with hazards, most of the water variety, such as the par-4 3rd involving a double carry over a large lake.

*Meyrick Park, Dorset - Set in 120 acres of scenic undulating parkland in the popular seaside town of Bournemouth and memorably starts with a 244-yards par-3.
