Mytime Active joins Course owners association

Mytime Active, which manages 19 public ‘pay and play’ golf centres in London, the South and Midlands, has joined the UK Golf Course Owners Association (UKGCOA).

Mytime Active is a social enterprise originally established in Bromley Kent, but has since expanded to manage 19 golf courses across the UK, including Orpington Golf Centre in Kent, a 54-hole golf course and one of the largest golfing facilities in England.

James Jenkins, Operations Director for Mytime Active said, “Joining this influential group of golf course owners and operators will help us develop and improve our services.

“By benchmarking alongside some of the best courses in the country, we hope to be able to offer our customers even better value for money and build networking and learning opportunities for our managers and staff.  We are very keen to learn from other operators and also to share what we do in the interests of long term sustainable and successful services.”

Jerry Kilby, Executive Director UKGCOA, said, “The UKGCOA is delighted to welcome the 19 golf courses that are managed by Mytime Active as members.  Their business model of providing golf course management services to local authorities and other landowners is very refreshing and different and once again demonstrates that there is no single fixed answer to successful golf course management.

“The UKGCOA welcomes golf course owners and operators from both the commercial and not-for-profit sectors and we are looking forward to working with the management team at Mytime Active in such initiatives as our benchmarking project and other activity.”
