Ringing the changes at Bells Hotel

The weather might leave much to be desired but the outlook is looking rosy at the Bells Hotel and The Forest of Dean Golf and Bowls Club.

Whilst the scaffolding was in place, it was hard to see Chairman Clive McKeag’s vision for the site, but the hard work has all been worthwhile – following a visit from the AA Hotel Inspector the Hotel and Golf and Bowls Club have been upgraded to 3 star standard.

Said Flic Jones, Hotel and Marketing Co-ordinator: “We are thrilled and are clear that this increased star rating will help to boost tourism to The Forest of Dean.

“One of our management team said that he has it on good authority that we would have a sunny summer this year so that our guests could enjoy al fresco dining on the new balcony.

“We are still hoping that summer will arrive but just in case he got it wrong there is still lots to do at Bells. You can watch Sky Sports and ESPN in our games room or just enjoy our hospitality and cuisine in the comfortable clubhouse after a round of golf, game of bowls or a visit to the Forest.”

Everyone is welcome at the venue – whether you are a golfer, bowler or a visitor keen to enjoy this picturesque area.
