Summer specials at stunning Italy resort

Two special summer packages have been launched at one of North Eastern Italy’s leading family-friendly golf resorts.

Whether it is a long weekend or a rejuvenating summer holiday for the whole family with golf and a wide selection of other activities, Golf Club Grado, located in the region of Venice, has it all with two new offerings for the 2012 summer season.

For those looking for a long weekend of golf and exercise there is the Short Golf Break Package which includes two rounds on Grado’s Championship Course, a three night stay in the Marina Suites overlooking the private yacht harbour, a meal at the gourmet Al Casone restaurant and a bike rental for two days to discover the beauty of the island.

Families looking for a longer break can take advantage of the Summer Golf Break package which offers a seven night stay in the Marina Suites including breakfast with four rounds on the Grado Championship Course, dinner at Al Casone, bike rental for five days and a boat trip in the Grado lagoon.

Grado features a range of accommodation for families. As well as the elegant Marina Suites there are modern, spacious and fully serviced bungalows located in the middle of a beautiful pine forest.

The 6,650 yard, par 72 Course is a true risk and reward test of golf. Making the most of its stunning location it brings water into play on almost every hole. The subtly contoured greens feature some challenging pin positions and the sea breeze often adds to the challenge. Grado´s stunning par 3 first hole boasts an island green which has led to the course being dubbed  “Europe’s Sawgrass.”

Work has been carried out over the winter to improve the course drainage and to introduce some new natural features on some holes. 

Located less than two hours’ drive from the magnificent city of Venice, Grado can be easily reached from the UK with a selection of direct flights from the larger UK cities to Venice or Trieste.
