*Troon Darley, Ayrshire, Scotland – A magical seaside municipal offering top value-for-money just down the road from Open venue Royal Troon. In fact the delightful Darley is one of a trio of links tracks on this site (Lochgreen and Fullarton are the others). With it’s tight heath and gorse-lined fairways, the Darley is a serious test.
*Okehampton, Devon – You’ll discover this little par-68 cracker plotted on undulating terrain sheltered by the high tors of Dartmoor. The course plays like a parkland although it actually sits on moorland and boasts several interesting holes including the 94-yards par-3 12th.
*Darlington, Co. Durham – home of a mature century-old parkland layout – designed by Augusta National creator Alister Mackenzie – covering just over 6,000 yards and guaranteed to test every aspect of your game.
*Hurlston Hall, Lancs – This modern Donald Steel layout is relatively flat and easy walking, and interspersed with water hazards protected by railway sleepers.
*Telford GC & Spa, Shropshire – fine par-72 parkland course overlooked by a four star Q Hotel within 170 acres of scenic grounds.
