*Stapleford Park, Leics – a class act on and off the course. The Donald Steel-designed course  is a great test of golf as European Seniors Tour have discovered in recent times. It’s nearly always in tip-top condition, and is majestically plotted on historic Capability Brown landscape around a stately home converted into a luxury five star hotel.

*Wildwood, Surrey – an excellent parkland course in the heart of the countryside to the south of London. Boasts excellent greens and well-kept fairways and is the home of 27 holes (Parkland, Lakes & Woodland nines).

*Handsworth, West Midlands – fine mature parkand track overlooked by a recently refurbished clubhouse. 

*Breadsall Priory, Derbys – outstanding Marriott venue just outside Derby boasting two contrasting 18-hole courses (the Priory and Moorland).

*Kirkby Lonsdale, Cumbria – majestically sits between the Lake District and Yorkshire Dales National Parks.

*Royal Ashdown Forest (West Course), East Sussex – the wonderful West  is a more than worthy neighbour of the sensational Old Course.
