Delightful Dorset has a wonderful variety of courses and fortunately many belong to 2-FORE!-1 and offer half-price golf – with a 2-FORE!-1 voucher of course.
Here are the pick of the county’s classy crop of 2-FORE!-1 venues:
*Dorset Golf & Country Club – This superb five star venue features 27 holes of testing golf amidst stunning scenery. The Lakeland layout is home to some attractively laid out greens, but great care will be needed to avoid the well-placed bunkers. The Parkland, including Dorset’s very own Amen Corner, and the Woodland complete the trio of contrasting loops of nine. It’s also a great spot to stay – there’s a range of on-site accommodation including a 16 en-suite Dormy Golf Hotel.
* Bridport & West Dorset – Founded in 1891, it’s the oldest club in the county and is a thrilling clifftop layout with magnificent views. The signature hole – the 133-yards par-3 6th is played to a drop green 90ft below and provides a major talking point in the clubhouse afterwards.
*Lyme Regis – Breathtaking par-71 clifftop course overlooking the historic coastal town and World Heritage Site of Lyme Regis.
*Meyrick Park – A belting Bournemouth course set within 120 acres of undulating scenic parkland and spectacularly opening with a 244-yards par-3!
*Weymouth – Well established James Braid parkland which is always in splendid condition and has recently been improved by the creation of 18 new tees and the layout being lengthened to just over 6,000 yards.
*Bulbury Woods – It’s also just over 6,000 yards but this tight, twisting gently undulating parkland course will test you every inch of the trip.
