2-FORE!-1 six of the best

Another six more magical, memorable 2-FORE!-1 venues offering the 2-FORE!-1 round of a lifetime…
*Brampton (Talkin Tarn), Cumbria – Originally designed by James Braid, the course is best described as undulating heathland offering a challenge to all standards of golfer in an idyllic setting. It’s been described as “The Jewel of Cumbria” and visitors have likened it to a “Mini Gleneagles”.
*Mottram Hall, Cheshire – The popular De Vere resort’s 18-hole, par 72 layout was designed by the renowned Dave Thomas, also responsible for the famous Brabazon at The Belfry, and is now fully mature and well established. The first nine holes are in attractive parkland and the inward nine plotted amidst more demanding woodland.
*Wildwood, Surrey – A cracking course with three loops of nine so there’s plenty of variety.
*Fortrose & Markie, Scotland – one of the best settings for a links course in Britain, squeezed into the Chanonry Peninsula with a lighthouse perched at the end of the headland.
*Sand Martins, Berks – An unusual treat to find a course with such strikingly different nines: the first half is parkland, the second half links-like.
*Forest of Arden, Warwicks – Top Marriott country club venue with two fine 18-hole parkland courses including the highly challenging Arden.
