Golf and motor racing package at Manor House

Visitors to top 2-FORE!-1 venue the Manor House Hotel and Golf Club, Wiltshire, are now being offered the exhilarating chance of driving racing cars on the nearby Castle Combe circuit where Ayton Senna, Nigel Mansell and David Coulthard once competed.

It is an additional feature that enhances the enjoyment of a stay at the Wiltshire resort which is already proved to be a major attraction for golf enthusiasts and ranked among the top 50 stay-and-play complexes in Britain.

The Castle Combe circuit which opened in 1950 has a distinguished record of winners including the legendary Stirling Moss as well as motorcycle champions Barry Sheene, Mike Hailwood and John Surtees.

Hotel guests have the choice of driving a wide variety of high powered competition cars from a Formula Ford model to a Lotus Elise. Additional activities also include skid pan training.

The programme takes half a day to complete and consists initially of a lecture on basic aspects of racing techniques before transferring to the pit lane to meet a highly experienced instructor who supervises several introductory laps before the guest begins the solo run.
