Golf, pie and mash for just £16 at mannings heath

Adam Scott’s dramatic victory at the US Masters will have whetted the appetite of many golfers to get back out on the fairways and they have the ideal opportunity to do so with the launch of Mannings Heath Golf Club’s Festival of Golf at the end of the month.

From Friday April 26 until Monday May 6, the popular venue in Horsham, West Sussex, is offering 18 holes of golf on its Kingfisher Course and a traditional British dish of pie, mashed potato and peas afterwards at an eye-catching price of just £16 per person.

The great-value package is valid seven days a week and can been booked either by phone or online and, in keeping with the traditional British festival theme, Mannings Heath will decorate its clubhouse with Union Jack flags and bunting to mark the occasion.

One of two courses at Mannings Heath, the Kingfisher flows gracefully through the Sussex countryside, testing the skills and nerve of the most seasoned player, and  the par-70 layout was rated as the best pay and play course in the county in 2011.

Mannings Heath, set in 500 acres of beautiful Sussex downland, is owned by the Exclusive Golf group alongside The Manor House Golf Club in Castle Combe, near Bath, with both clubs featuring in the latest ‘Top 100 Golf Courses in England’ standings.

The venue boasts two 18-hole layouts, the Waterfall Course and Kingfisher Course, and the former, a members-only course, will host the 2013 English Women’s Amateur Strokeplay Championship in August.

The Festival of Golf scheme is one of a number that Exclusive Golf is offering at its courses over the coming months as the golfing season gets into full swing.
