2-FORE!-1 Six of the Best

Looking for a top venue to play some stunning 2-FORE!-1 Golf this week? Well, these six beauties – spread all over the UK – should help you to make up your mind as they’re the passport to some quality golfing action at a great price.

*Gleneagles (PGA Centenary course), Perthshire, Scotland – The PGA Centenary will stage the first Ryder Cup in Scotland in 2014 and will almost certainly produce another memorable encounter.

*West Cornwall, Cornwall – Established in 1889, this is the oldest course in the county and one of the finest links in the south-west. Moulded around the natural contours of the sand dunes which form part of the Hayle Estuary and Porth Kidney Sands, the course enjoys panoramic views of St Ives Bay and Godrevy Lighthouse.

*Forest of Arden (Arden course), Warwicks – Donald Steel-designed layout which enjoys a wonderful pedigree after hosting the British Masters three times. Unsurprisingly, the Championship circuit is not the easiest parkland track, boasting a series of challenging holes including a demanding par-3 finale.

*North Shore, Lincs – A mixture of links and parkland holes are on offer for anyone wishing to play a round just down the road or coast from the popular bracing seaside resort of Skegness.

*Stockley Pines, Middlesex – Great location for those flyers amongst you – it’s right by Heathrow airport! Opened in 1993, and designed by Trent Jones Senior, it has hugely benefited from a major refurbishment.

*Edzell, Angus, Scotland – One of the finest inland courses in the East of Scotland, Edzell is the home of an outstanding heathland layout and a clubhouse serving fantastic food.
