TaylorMade Open New Fitting Centre At Celtic Manor

TaylorMade have opened a new Fitting Center at Celtic Manor, with Welsh rugby legends Gareth Edwards and Martin Williams on hand to officially do the honours.

The centre, at the venue of the 2010 Ryder Cup and 2013 European Tour ISPS Handa Wales Open, is the only TaylorMade facility in Wales.

Open to golfers of all abilities, it provides state of the art technology including a launch monitor, combined with the skill of the custom fitter to provide a premium service designed to get every golfer fitted with the correct TaylorMade products to optimise their game.

“We are delighted to have opened the TaylorMade Fitting Center at Celtic Manor”, commented Sean Brady, European Brand Experience Manager. “This will allow golfers of all abilities to come to this iconic venue and be fitted correctly by trained technicians for all of TaylorMade’s exciting and revolutionary new products”.

On the day of the launch, both Gareth Edwards and Martin Williams were put through their paces and were taken through a fitting of the new TaylorMade R1 driver and Rocketbladez irons to highlight the benefits of being custom fitting for the right clubs.

Both rugby stars were amazed and saw significant results, including Gareth hitting the new RocketBladez irons over 175-yards with a 7-iron, where he would normally hit 150-yards and producing consistently great shots with added distance with the new R1 driver.

Gareth Edwards and Martin Williams also wore the new adizero golf shoe for their fitting and both players were amazed by the weight of the shoes and how much these differed to the rugby boots back in their playing days.
