head to mannings heath for twilight tuesdays

Golfers looking to grab a midweek bargain can head to Mannings Heath and take advantage of all-day twilight green fee rates every Tuesday throughout June.

After the success of its Festival of Golf, where nearly 1,100 golfers took to the fairways  over an 11-day period, the popular Horsham venue is now offering the chance for golfers to play 18 holes on its popular Kingfisher Course any Tuesday in June for just £12.50 – the equivalent of its current twilight rate.

One of two courses at Mannings Heath, the Kingfisher Course flows gracefully through the Sussex countryside, testing the skills and nerve of the most seasoned player.

The par-70 layout was rated by the ‘Top 100 Golf Courses in England’ as the best pay-and-play course in the county in 2011.

To take advantage of the Twilight Tuesdays offer, golfers should phone the pro shop now to reserve their time on 01403 210228.

Steve Slinger, Exclusive Golf’s manager who is based at Mannings Heath Golf Club, said: “The Festival of Golf proved to be a great success at the end of April and we hope that the Twilight Tuesdays will be just as popular.

“Many clubs tend to be very busy at weekends, so we thought it fitting to offer a midweek deal for those who like to get out during the week for a more relaxing round of golf at fantastic value for money.”

The Twilight Tuesdays scheme is one of a number of innovative promotions that Exclusive Golf is running at its courses over the coming months after the success of Mannings Heath’s Festival of Golf.

Offering 18 holes on the Kingfisher course and a traditional British dish of pie, mashed potato and peas for just £16 per person, the promotion, which ran from April 26 to May 6, saw 1,063 rounds played and a staggering quarter of a tonne of potatoes eaten.

In addition, Exclusive Golf has launched a new ‘Great British Food Menu’ this year, giving members and guest the chance to enjoy some of the country’s favourite dishes with the best local produce; from fish and chips and sausage and mash to afternoon tea and a selection of mouth-watering puddings.

And golfers in a hurry before they tee off are also well catered for at Mannings Heath and The Manor House with the group’s new ‘Golf to Go’ promotion, offering time-conscious players a takeaway food-and-drink service on their way to the first tee.
